Children in Gaza suffer severe dehydration, skin infections, and disease due to a lack of clean water. With summer heat rising and sanitation collapsing, families can't bathe, cook, or hydrate safely. $380 provides a truck with 1,000L of water directly to displaced families.
It's summer.
Gaza's skies bring no relief. Its wells are salty. Its children sip from whatever they can find.
The heat in Gaza is unbearable.
Inside plastic shelters that trap the suffocating heat, families sit with empty jugs. Making dua that today might be the day a water truck comes.
But sometimes it doesn't.
And when it does, there's a rush of people hoping their turn comes before the water runs out. This isn't just a humanitarian crisis. It's a deliberate dismantling of life's most basic necessity: water.
Life without clean water for a child in Gaza means scratching through the night from skin infections like scabies. It means no clean bottle to feed a crying baby. It means collapsing from heatstroke while queuing for hours under the sun.
There is no water to bathe and clean children. No water to wash dishes or clothes. In the summer, water is everything, for hygiene, hydration, dignity.
The United Nations warns: children will begin to die of thirst.
Today in Gaza, families have none.
No clean water means more than thirst. It means malnutrition. Disease. Infection. Risk of death.
Contaminated water isn't just causing rashes. It's fueling a malnutrition crisis.
When there's no clean water to drink, cook with, or mix formula, children's bodies can't absorb nutrients properly.
Their immune systems weaken.
They stop growing.
They start wasting away.
In overcrowded tents, 10+ people share a space the size of a bedroom. There's no privacy. No hygiene. No relief.
According to the World Health Organisation (2025):
It's summer in Gaza. The heat is punishing.
Without water, a child's body can't fight.
Without water, a mother can't protect her child.
A single truck can carry 1,000 litres of clean, life-saving water. It costs just $380 - but the impact is immeasurable.
"The best charity is giving water to drink." - Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
Your sadaqah becomes their survival:
Children should not scratch until they bleed. Babies should not be fed dirty water.
You can change that. Send clean water. Save young lives. Stand with Gaza.
Let your giving flow where water no longer can.
Because no child should die of thirst.
Not today. Not ever.
