Human Rights, Inclusion and Modern Slavery Policy
Al-Ihsan Foundation is committed to respecting, protecting and promoting human rights, dignity and inclusion across all our humanitarian, development and charitable activities in Australia and internationally.
Our work is guided by internationally recognised human rights principles, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence.

Non-discrimination and inclusion
Al-Ihsan Foundation maintains a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination, harassment, exploitation or abuse. We treat all individuals with fairness and respect regardless of race, gender, religion, nationality, age, disability, sexual orientation or social background. We are committed to promoting disability inclusion and equitable access to our programs wherever possible.
Modern slavery
We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, including forced labour, human trafficking, debt bondage, child labour and other exploitative practices. Al-Ihsan works to identify and reduce modern slavery risks across our programs, partnerships, employment practices and supply chains, including through due diligence, responsible procurement and reporting mechanisms.
Core Humanitarian Standard
Al-Ihsan Foundation aligns its work with the Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability, which commits us to ensuring that people and communities affected by crisis:

- receive timely and effective assistance
- can safely raise complaints and have them addressed
- interact with respectful and accountable staff
- can trust that resources are managed ethically and responsibly
