This Ashura, millions of your brothers and sisters across Gaza, Uganda, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will break their fast with little or nothing to eat.
Your Sadaqah through Al-Ihsan Foundation helps provide freshly prepared hot iftar meals to displaced families, refugees, widows and orphans across six countries.
Whether you are fasting on Ashura or supporting those who are, you can share in the reward of feeding a fasting person on one of the most blessed days of the Islamic year.
This Ashura, let your mercy reach them.
Ashura is one of the most sacred days in the Islamic calendar. It is a day when fasting expiates the sins of an entire year.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,
“Fasting the day of Ashura, I hope Allah will accept it as expiation for the year before.”
— Muslim
It is from Allah's immense mercy upon us that just by fasting one day, He expiates the (minor) sins of a whole year.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever gives food for a fasting person to break his fast, he will have a reward like theirs, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest.”
— Tirmidhi
Ashura is a day of worship.
A day of gratitude and remembering Allah's blessings.
Yet for many families living through conflict, displacement and poverty, finding food to break their fast is a daily struggle.
When you provide an iftar meal, you help a fasting person complete their day of worship with dignity.
You help a mother feed her children.
And a refugee family share a meal together.
This Ashura, let your fast be accompanied by charity.
Ashura falls on the 10th day of Muharram, the Month of Allah ﷻ, one of the four sacred months in Islam. In 2026, Ashura is expected to fall on Friday 26 June, although the exact date may vary depending on the sighting of the moon.
Ashura 2026 is observed on the 10th of Muharram. The first of Muharram is estimated to be on Tuesday 16 June 2026, with exact dates depending on official moon sighting.
This Ashura, we will be delivering freshly prepared iftar meals across multiple countries.

When Musa عليه السلام stood before the sea, he placed his trust in Allah. When Allah granted relief, he responded with gratitude. That gratitude became worship.
Ashura invites us to do the same.
As you seek Allah's forgiveness and mercy on this blessed day, consider sharing that blessing with a family who may not know where their next meal is coming from.
One meal can ease hunger.
Your Sadaqah can bring comfort.
One day can carry immense reward.
Feed the fasting this Ashura and let your mercy reach those who need it most.
