Why Gaza Still Desperately Needs Water Wells
In Gaza, water is being used as a weapon. With over 90% of water infrastructure destroyed and electricity and fuel deliberately cut, clean water is almost impossible to access. Families are relying on unsafe, contaminated sources, a risk that brings disease, dehydration, and despair.
For displaced families in overcrowded camps, water isn't just for drinking. It's for cooking, bathing, cleaning, and restoring a sense of dignity. Without it, nothing else works.
Well 1 - Funded, Built, and Flowing
Alhamdulillah, funding for our first deep water well was completed, and now this well is serving hundreds of displaced families in South Gaza with safe drinking water daily.
This well was strategically placed within a displacement camp so that water reaches people right where they are. Once drilling was complete, our local teams tested the water for both quality and drinkability standards before opening it for people to use.
